Rooibos is known for its original taste and great health benefits. Our Loose Leaf Rooibos Tea is of exceptional quality, and boasts a very rich taste!

Our Loose Leaf Rooibos tea is the most natural version of rooibos tea. The word “rooibos” translates as “red bush” from African languages. Rooibos grows in the region of Western Cape province of South Africa. As with black and green tea, rooibos can undergo oxidation, or not. So, the fermented rooibos is usually reddish-brown in colour, and unoxidised rooibos is green, thus it is often referred to as “the green rooibos”. However, most rooibos leaves are actually fermented, hence the name meaning “red bush”.

Our Loose Leaf Rooibos Tea is actually an infusion rather than a tea, as it does not contain any caffeine, and has low tannin levels. On the other hand, rooibos is extremely beneficial to your health because it contains a lot of vitamin C, in addition to antioxidants such as polyphenols. Rooibos has a reddish liquor and a rich taste.

Therefore, if you feel like a cup of tea that would be as strong and full-bodied as black tea, but would not like the tea to disrupt your sleep, then you should definitely go for a cup of our Loose Leaf Rooibos Tea! What is more, rooibos blends very well with different other elements, such as fruits, spices, chocolate, etc.

Finally, apart from red rooibos, there is also green rooibos, whose taste is very delicate. Additionally, just like its red peer, green rooibos does not contain any caffeine. You can enjoy it with or without milk. Rooibos could be a very good choice for afternoon tea, as it would go perfectly with scones and other sweet treats!
