Owing its name to the Qimen region of China’s Anhui Province, Keemun tea is known for its light fruity sweetness. It is excellent with or without milk.

Keemun Tea is a very interesting tea type. Owing its name to the Qimen or “Keemun” region of China’s Anhui Province, this rich and plummy tea is known for the delicacy of its taste as well as for a light fruity sweetness of its aroma. Its liquor is pale gold and according to the Chinese it has the flavour of an orchid.

This tea type is great on its own, because it has its own original character. However, Keemun tea is also famous as an ingredient for one of the world’s most renowned tea types: the English Breakfast Blend. Consequently, it is one of the main components of our Organic Loose Leaf English Breakfast Tea!

Moreover, Keemun Tea is also a crucial ingredient in our Russian Caravan Tea, whose originality, sophistication and health benefits are exquisite!

Keemun tea would be excellent with or without milk.

Chinese Black Tea

China is the cradle of all teas. This country is particularly famous for its green tea, that is definitely the most popular drink in China. However, Chinese Black tea is also quite well known. With the exception that what we call ‘black tea’ in the entire world, the Chinese would call ‘red tea’. This is their name for fermented (oxidised) tea. The preparation technique for fermented tea differs from that of green tea.

Bedford tea will gladly offer you different types of Chinese Black Tea! The most famous ones include Lapsang Souchong Loose Leaf Tea and Pu Erh Tea. Those two tea types are world-famous for different reasons. Lapsang Souchong Loose Leaf Tea is known for its smoky aroma and slightly tart taste, reminding of woodsmoke. Pu Erh Tea, on the other hand, is renowned for its health benefits, especially aid in weight loss.

However, other types of Chinese Black Tea are not less interesting and original as Lapsang Souchong Tea or Pu Erh Tea. For example, our Keemun Tea is full of individuality. Its taste is very rich, although it contains some natural sweetness and gentleness that make this tea type so extraordinary. Additionally, as mentioned previously, it is a crucial ingredient of the world-famous English Breakfast Tea

Incidentally, the classic English Breakfast Tea is not the only tea type that would be an excellent choice in the morning. Our Yunnan tea is just as full-bodied and strong. Therefore, it will definitely give you a boost of energy and a new lease of life!
